DIY Room Spray with Essential oils

I have been trying to incorporate Natural living these days in the form of Lean and Green food, lots of water, staying active and mainly staying away from processed foods and packaged goods.

My mum is a big advocate of living naturally and incorporating DIY stuff using essential oils in her daily routine. After seeing her last week it gave me huge motivation to go down that route myself.

As a beginner who has a short span of focus I didn’t want to invest in Young living as yet. I do hear great things about it but I found it to be a big investment that I may/may not use.

So I ended up ordering this Essential oil kit from Amazon that came with 18 different essential oils that pretty much cover some solid ground for a price tag of just $30.

My first DIY project had to be something easy and fun. I looked at numerous different recipes for a Room spray and tweaked it to make my own.

I also ordered this kit from Kare & Kind that was perfect to start with and included all the essential tools needed for a DIY project.

  1. I love making all natural cleaning supplies and health products with my essential oils. I don’t get my oils from Amazon, but have gotten some of these other supplies and they are wonderful and at a great price too!

  2. Love this idea! Never thought about making my own natural room mists. I hate the chemical scent of most store bought sprays.
How long does the scent last do you think?

  3. LOVE this! I made an Febreze dupe the other day with vodka, I wonder if I could substitute that for witch hazel? Great post! Thanks for sharing!

  4. I have a stash of essentials oils that I’ve been trying to figure out what else I can use them for, besides my diffuser. I love the idea of creating your own room spray. I’m definitely going to give it a try.
